About Our Providers in Vermont and Northern New York
Our providers are focused on improving the health and wellbeing of patients across our network — creating a healthier Vermont and northern New York.
As one of the top university hospitals in the country, The University of Vermont Medical Center is focused on the evolution of research, training and the practice of medicine. The hospitals in our network are actively engaged in efforts to share learning and bring leading-edge procedures and treatments to their local communities. You won't need to travel hundreds of miles to access outstanding, nationally recognized health care. It's available right here.
The University of Health Network Medical Group — more than 600 physicians jointly employed by the University of Vermont Medical Center as clinicians and the Larner College of Medicine at UVM as faculty – fosters an academic learning environment across the network by teaching the next generation of providers, engaging in research that advances the field of medicine, and applying the latest discoveries to patient care. Network providers also include medical staff from each hospital as well as community providers — highly-skilled physicians who treat patients in their communities — who have the ability to admit patients to hospitals in our Network.
