Marc C. Davey is an educational leader and public-sector executive with 40 years of experience in public education, including more than 30 years in administrative and supervisory leadership roles. Since 2013, he has served as district superintendent and chief executive officer of Champlain Valley Educational Services (CVES) and Clinton-Essex-Warren-Washington BOCES, providing leadership for educational programs, services and operations serving school districts across the region.
He also serves as the New York State Education Department commissioner's representative for the Clinton-Essex-Warren-Washington BOCES supervisory district.
Prior to joining CVES, Davey served as superintendent of schools for the Gates Chili Central School District and held leadership positions in the Hudson Falls, Schenectady City and Cohoes City school districts. He began his career as a social studies teacher and has remained committed to student success, educational opportunity and workforce readiness throughout his career. Davey serves on several community and professional boards, including the United Way of the Adirondack Region and the Rural Schools Association of New York State. He earned a doctorate in education from Vanderbilt University, a master's degree from SUNY Plattsburgh and a bachelor's degree from SUNY Potsdam.
