Christopher L. Hickey is a health care finance and operations executive with more than 35 years of leadership experience in hospitals and community health organizations. Most recently, he served as senior vice president of finance for the University of Vermont Health - Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital and Alice Hyde Medical Center, overseeing financial management and reporting, including budgeting, billing and reimbursement functions. Prior to that, he served as chief financial officer at Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans, Vermont; Community, Work & Independence in the Glens Falls, New York area; and Northern Berkshire Healthcare in Massachusetts.
Earlier in his career, Hickey held senior financial and business development leadership positions at Glens Falls Hospital and St. Peter's Hospital, after holding financial positions at A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital and Albany Memorial Hospital. Throughout his career, he has led major capital projects, supported strategic growth initiatives and helped strengthen the financial performance of community-based health care organizations. Hickey earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Siena College and an associate degree in accounting from Hudson Valley Community College. He has served on numerous nonprofit and health care boards and is currently board member of the Adirondack Health Institute and Adirondack Accountable Care Organization.
