About Me

I grew up in eastern Kentucky, and I knew I wanted to do trauma surgery and be in the mountains. The community here is unique and down-to-earth, and they appreciate the care they receive at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital.

I earned my medical degree from the University of Louisville and completed my residency at University of Vermont Medical Center. North County is unlike any place I've ever been to, and I really love it here.

What drew me to surgery is the unique relationship between surgeon and patient and the trust involved. I've always cherished that relationship with patients, and that's why I pursued my career.

Mutual understanding and shared decision-making are central to my philosophy of care. It's tremendously important to me that patients understand the 'why' behind the decisions I help them to make.

What drew me to surgery is the unique relationship between surgeon and patient and the trust involved.
