About Me
Helping people get the most out of their lives is deeply meaningful to me. Life is short and precious, and helping patients restore or improve their health is a gift I cherish. I enjoy getting to know my patients, understanding their individual health goals and carefully explaining the options available to help them achieve those goals. I take pride in supporting people through every step of their care and treating each patient the way I would want my own family to be treated.
I am an expert in weight management and the full range of surgical and medical treatment options available. I perform all types of bariatric procedures, including complex revisional surgeries and have extensive experience caring for complicated cases. I'm also an expert in the surgical treatment of reflux, GERD, hiatal hernias and other upper digestive tract conditions. Seeing patients experience meaningful improvements after surgery is incredibly rewarding.
What I love most about my work is the balance between technical skill and human connection. My interest in fine craftsmanship began early in life and continued through scientific laboratory work in high school and college. As a college volunteer at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Manhattan, I discovered how meaningful it was to provide compassion and support to people who were waiting for or recovering from surgery. That experience reinforced the importance of caring for people during vulnerable moments in their lives.
As a mother, I bring a strong sense of advocacy and dedication to my patients' care. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, biking, birding and gardening. Whether I am cycling up a challenging hill, listening to the quiet of the forest or talking with loved ones while working in the garden, I value the moments that bring balance, connection and renewal.
