About Me
I'm the John P. and Kathryn H. Tampas Green and Gold Professor and Chair of Radiology at the UVM Larner College of Medicine, and Chief of the Network Radiology Department for University of Vermont Health. I'm a board-certified radiologist and joined the organization in 2001. I have held multiple leadership roles across the system, nationally and internationally.
I'm recognized for my expertise in the implementation of low-cost imaging and other diagnostic solutions in low-resourced countries. My scholarship focuses on sustainable diagnostic solutions for rural areas, and I have been invited to speak on this topic around the world. In 2016, I received the American College of Radiology Foundation Global Humanitarian Award for my work improving medical imaging and access to care.
Throughout my career, I have been a leader in radiology education and was awarded the RSNA Outstanding Educator of the Year award in 2016.
I am a Fellow of both the American College of Radiology and the Association of Academic Radiologists, which are among the highest honors that can be bestowed upon a radiologist.
