About Me
I specialize in geriatrics, falls/balance and neurologic rehabilitation. I treat patients with conditions such as movement disorders, Parkinson's disease, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), vertigo, brain injury, concussion, spinal cord injury and stroke. I use techniques such as therapeutic taping and LSVT BIG, a treatment to help limb movement in patients with Parkinson's disease.
I became board certified in geriatrics because it is the population of people that I love working with. The aging adult requires additional knowledge, experience and training to treat, and becoming a specialist in this area has always been my goal.
What I love most about my career is helping people. All my patients have a story to tell and helping them through their difficult time is extremely gratifying for me. It is especially satisfying if they are an older person who thought that they wouldn't be able to get stronger due to their age or condition and then they experience improvements with exercise and treatment provided by a physical therapist.
The other area of expertise that I have developed and love is treating people with vertigo. As someone who has suffered from it myself, I understand how debilitating it can be.
My goal is to make my patients feel as if they are heard. I make sure to truly listen to their concerns so I can provide the best care possible. I want a patient's experience to be a positive one.
