About Me

I'm an academic nephrologist and physician-scientist with clinical interests and expertise in the management of polycystic kidney disease, fluid and electrolyte disorders and acute kidney injury.

I believe in a collaborative relationship with my patients — working together to improve health and overall quality of life. I encourage patients to become educated, take an active role in their own care and participate in discussions regarding various treatment options based on current standards or care and the latest research findings.

My passion as a health care provider is to care for kidney disease patients and conduct advanced research to develop new therapies that cure or improve outcomes and quality of life for those with acute and chronic kidney diseases.

Specifically, my research is focused on polycystic kidney disease pathogenesis to identify new therapeutic targets, epithelial solute transport and its coupling to cellular metabolic changes, and identifying new therapeutic targets for kidney diseases.

My passion is to care for kidney disease patients and conduct advanced research to develop new therapies to improve outcomes and their quality of life.
