About Me
I studied cultural anthropology as an undergraduate and have always been fascinated by people and their cultures. During my Peace Corps service in Guinea-Bissau, West Africa, I became interested in pursuing a career in medicine, allowing me to combine my interest in people with my curiosity about science. I feel grateful to have found a career that brings these passions together.
What I find most rewarding is connecting with patients, learning their stories and helping them move toward their best health and well-being. I have a strong passion for women’s health at all stages, with a particular focus on perimenopause and menopause.
Before returning to Vermont, I lived and worked in New Zealand for two and a half years. I served as the women’s health clinical site lead at two family medicine clinics, where I taught and supported physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants in women’s health care. My work included teaching LARC procedures and menopause management. I also co-presented at two community forums on menopause and presented at the New Zealand PA Society Annual Meeting in April 2025 on menopause care for physician assistants. I joined The Menopause Society in 2025 and plan to sit for certification as a Menopause Society Practitioner in October 2026.
I am excited to bring my clinical experience, teaching background and passion for women’s health to serve women in Central Vermont. I also volunteer overseas in underserved areas. During a recent medical trip to Lesvos, Greece, working with migrants seeking asylum, I met a young Afghan woman whose resilience and perspective left a lasting impression on me. Her words continue to shape how I approach both medicine and life.
Outside of work, I enjoy gardening, running on Vermont’s trails with my dogs, hiking, traveling and reading historical fiction. I also enjoy starting perennials from seed and winter sowing.
What I find most rewarding is connecting with patients, learning their stories and helping them move toward their best health and well-being.
