About Me

I completed my residency in Emergency Medicine at Maine Medical Center in Portland. Like many ED physicians, I enjoy the variety of care.

As an emergency physician, I am privileged to care for people when they are most in need. My goal is to develop trust with my patients to help them through what is often a very difficult time. I value a collaborative approach that is vital to emergency care and take pride in being a part of an excellent team.

In particular, I enjoy orthopedic cases and ultrasound work. With ultrasound, you can pinpoint the nerves and give a much more localized anesthesia. I recently taught a course on ultrasound-guided vascular access for nursing staff. I've also taught a college elective course on wilderness medicine at Tufts/Main Medical Center.

When I am away from work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two children.

I am privileged to care for people when they are most in need.
