About Me
I was treated for a back injury by an Osteopathic Physician, who later became my regular doctor. That experience led me to pursue medicine. While I no longer practice primary care, I really enjoy treating patients with Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT). The hands-on approach reveals so much about a patient’s condition, and it’s gratifying to diagnose and treat spinal issues with my hands.
I also perform Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs) for work-related injuries. IMEs keep my mind sharp by reviewing records and piecing together the story of an injury.
OMT was part of my education from day one at UNECOM in Biddeford, Maine. I was in the school’s first small class, and we later received a Pioneer of Osteopathic Medicine award. Early in my career in Vermont, I made house calls. I once treated a woman in Barre who had been bed-ridden for two weeks. After one OMT session, she called the next day to make an office appointment. That’s how powerful OMT can be.
Outside of work, I’ve enjoyed running, skiing and walking forest trails. I’ve also participated in SCCA Auto-cross events and driven on some of the best-known road courses in America with the FCA.
