About Me
I chose a career in physical therapy because helping people regain mobility is deeply important to me. I find it especially rewarding to support patients in the inpatient setting as they work toward returning to their prior level of functional mobility. Seeing someone arrive very ill and unable to move, then mobilize in a meaningful way by the time they discharge, is one of the most fulfilling parts of my work.
I have a background in psychology, which has helped me form strong connections with patients and meet them where they are. This perspective allows me to provide patient-specific, meaningful motivation as they work toward their goals. I am constantly learning from my patients and from new experiences in acute care.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my collies, going to concerts, staying active through running, hiking and kayaking, gardening and creating glass art.
