About Me
From a young age, I knew I wanted to become a nurse. That calling became even clearer in the aftermath of Hurricane Irene, when my hometown was devastated. Amid the chaos and helplessness, I realized I wanted to do more than offer comfort — I wanted to be someone who could truly help in times of crisis. That moment marked the beginning of my journey into medicine.
I’ve worked in a variety of settings, including primary care, express care, hospital medicine and cardiology. What I find most rewarding is being able to support patients during times of need — whether in an emergency, a chronic illness or a life transition. I’m passionate about lifelong learning and believe in the power of listening, respect and collaboration to provide the best possible care.
One of the most meaningful experiences in my career was helping a patient who had recently gained access to health insurance after years without it. He came to me with symptoms he had been managing on his own for years, including loss of function on one side of his body. After a thorough workup, we diagnosed him with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis. Through our ongoing relationship, I was able to support him in navigating his care and improving his quality of life. It wasn’t a dramatic moment, but it reminded me why I do this work — to make a difference, one person at a time.
Outside of work, I love to travel and hike. I’m currently working on completing Vermont’s Long Trail, heading out for multi-day hikes at least once a month. Being in nature helps me recharge and stay grounded.
What I find most rewarding is being able to support patients during times of need — whether in an emergency, a chronic illness or a life transition.
