About Me
I was inspired to pursue a career in medicine to care for my community using biopsychosocially driven, evidence-based approaches. As an academic hospitalist, it is both humbling and rewarding to apply these methods to advance wellness across the spectrum of illness complexity.
I’m particularly interested in patient-centered care, managing complex medical illnesses, multimorbidity and inter-professional collaboration.
One memorable experience from medical school involved a patient ready for discharge who didn’t have shoes. Our team — physicians, nurses, social workers and therapists —came together to care for them. That moment continues to remind me of the health care team’s central role in treating patients with dignity during times of struggle.
Outside of work, I enjoy fishing, skiing, bird watching and gardening.
