Chair, Department of Psychiatry
Dr. Althoff is chair of the department of psychiatry at UVM Health and professor of psychiatry at University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine. A nationally recognized expert in child and adolescent psychiatry, he specializes in emotional self-regulation in children.
Dr. Althoff joined UVM Health in 2006 and has held multiple leadership roles across the system. He is a distinguished fellow of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and associate editor of its journal.
