Chair, Department of Anesthesiology
Dr. Aslakson is a critical care anesthesiologist and palliative care physician and researcher; she is also a tenured Professor of Medicine at University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine. Dr. Aslakson’s research interests include ways to improve delivery of effective palliative care, particularly in critical care and surgical clinical care settings.
As a clinician, researcher, administrator and leader, Dr. Aslakson is driven to ensure person- and family-centered, compassionate, high-quality clinical care. She views it as an honor and privilege to work in academic medicine and is grateful for the opportunity to help and serve others as a profession.
