President & Chief Operating Officer
Werneke became president and chief operating officer of Home Health & Hospice in 2023 after serving in various leadership roles for six years prior to the organization’s affiliation with University of Vermont Health. She holds a BS and MS in community development and applied economics from the University of Vermont and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Public Health degree through the Gillings School of Global Public Health at UNC Chapel Hill. Her professional interests include population health and systems-level problem-solving. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and sons.
