Interim Chair, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine 

Dr. Goodwin is a professor in the Clinical Scholar Pathway at the Larner College of Medicine and has been a member of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine since 2010. He earned his medical degree from UVM in 2003 and completed his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at Fletcher Allen Health Care in 2007.

Dr. Goodwin currently serves as section medical director of thrombosis and hemostasis and director of faculty recruitment and retention. He has held multiple leadership roles across UVM Health and is an active contributor to departmental and medical center committees. A dedicated educator and mentor, his scholarly work focuses on quality improvement and operational efficiency. He is widely recognized for fostering collaboration and supporting the growth of trainees, staff and faculty.
