Digital Experience Advisors are community members who live near one of our hospitals or primary care practices in New York or Vermont and who help make UVM Health’s website clearer, easier to use and more patient‑centered. This virtual workgroup focuses first on the public website, with future opportunities to review other digital tools like MyChart.
This overview outlines the purpose and operating model for the Digital Experience Advisor Workgroup.
Purpose
The purpose of the Digital Experience Advisor Workgroup is to help UVM Health:
- Put patients first: Make sure the website works well for patients and families, with easy to read content and simple navigation.
- Make smart choices: Give feedback on important website changes so we focus on what matters most to patients.
- Stay connected: Keep our plans in line with what patients really need and expect.
- Build trust: Find problems and fix them, so patients feel confident using our website (and other digital tools).
Engagement
Time commitment:
- Meet four times a year — starting in the March/April 2026.
- Twice a year, join one live virtual session lasting 60–90 minutes.
- Participate in ad hoc, virtual usability testing sessions — lasting approximately 30 minutes.
- After each session, you may get short surveys or quick tasks to share more feedback.
- Overall, the time commitment is about 2–4 hours per quarter.
What you will do:
- Test the website: Try out new features and share what works and what doesn’t.
- Review ideas: Look at early designs, prototypes or new concepts and tell us what you think.
- Help set priorities: Give input on what changes matter most to patients and families.
- Answer short surveys: Share quick feedback between meetings.
- React to content: Tell us if messages and designs are clear and easy to understand.
