Class Details
TalkVermont’s Mastering Serious Illness Conversations course utilizes small group learning and deliberate practice techniques. Participants will adapt strategies to communicate with patients about serious illness with honesty and compassion in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
This course focuses on communicating serious news and discussing what matters most to patients and their caregivers. Majority of the time is spent in small group practice. This course is based off of the evidence-based course, VitalTalk, which has shown to improve skills for practicing clinicians as well as patient care.
This is an in-person event.
