Event Details
Connecting with nature offers powerful benefits for both mind and body. Studies show that caring for plants can reduce stress, trees release compounds that boost immunity and the sound of birds can improve mental well-being. This program combines the practices of Forest Therapy and Horticultural Therapy to help you experience the healing power of nature. Guided by the natural world — and supported by each other — you’ll embark on a journey of discovery and connection.
This group meets every Tuesday from April 14 to October 27 at Point Au Roche State Park. It is facilitated by Stacey LaFave, MS Oncology Social Worker, certified forest therapy guide and horticultural therapy practitioner.
