Event Details
We are pleased to announce the next Death Café, taking place on May 15 from 9:30–11:00 a.m. at the New Haven Community Library, located at 78 North Street, New Haven, VT.
At a Death Café, we create a warm and welcoming space for open, honest conversations about death, dying and what it means to truly live. Death is one of life’s few certainties, yet it is often the hardest topic to talk about. This gathering offers an opportunity to explore these conversations in a supportive, respectful environment.
There is no agenda, no objectives and no pressure — just relaxed conversation where participants are invited to share thoughts, listen to others and reflect. Everything shared is confidential, and all perspectives are honored.
This is not a grief support group or a counseling session. Rather, it is an opportunity to engage one of life’s biggest questions with curiosity, connection and care.
Pre‑registration is not required. If you would like to attend, please plan to arrive 10 minutes prior to the start time.
Facilitators: Ann Kensek, Nanny‑Co Lathrop, Lesley Murray and Michele Palladino
The Death Café at Porter Medical Center is hosted by the Palliative Care Department.
We look forward to welcoming anyone who is curious and open to meaningful conversation.
