Event Details
Patients and community members are invited to join Central Vermont Medical Center for an educational evening focused on bone health, osteopenia and osteoporosis. This free event brings together experts in bone health, nutrition, fitness and primary care to share practical strategies for maintaining strong bones and preventing fractures.
During the event, attendees will hear from an interdisciplinary panel of practitioners from Central Vermont Medical Center and Green Mountain Community Fitness, including a discussion on screening, treatment options, strength‑building exercises and fall‑prevention strategies. The evening will also feature strength demonstrations and an interactive audience Q&A, with primary care providers and registered dietitians available to answer questions.
Attendees are encouraged to RSVP online or by calling 802‑371‑4464. Guests may also submit a bone‑health question in advance using the online submission form.
Osteoporosis — characterized by low bone mass, decreased bone strength and a higher risk of fractures — affects one in ten adults over age 50 and can significantly impact quality of life. This event aims to equip individuals with knowledge and tools to protect their bone health and reduce risk.
