Join us in observing Advance Directive Day and take an important step toward ensuring your health care wishes are understood, respected and honored. Volunteers and staff will be available in the Central Vermont Medical Center main lobby to help our community complete their advance directive and answer questions.

Advance Directive Day, observed annually on April 16, is a nationwide initiative that encourages individuals to take an active role in advance care planning and to share their health care wishes. Advance Directive Day aims to educate and empower people of all ages to think ahead about their medical preferences and ensure their voices are heard — especially in situations where they may be unable to speak for themselves.
