Event Details

The 2026 UVM Health Language Access Forum will be the first event of its kind in Northern New England — bringing together organizations and professionals from across the region to advance language access in health care and beyond.

This summit is designed to support interpreting, translation and communication access needs by:

  • Strengthening best practices
  • Building regional connections
  • Sharing practical strategies that can be applied across settings

Together, we’ll foster collaboration, innovation and lasting change for patients, families and communities with diverse language and communication needs.

Call For Presentations

Have an idea, program or lesson learned that could help others strengthen language access? We invite you to submit a proposal to present at the 2026 Language Access Forum.

We’re looking for sessions that share practical strategies, tools and real-world examples —whether you’re highlighting an innovative approach, policy initiative, training model or case study.

Suggested topics include:

  • Language access programs and scalable strategies
  • Interpreter training, onboarding and professional development
  • Health literacy and multilingual patient engagement
  • Interpreter or translation practice topics or workshop ideas
  • Legal, regulatory and policy considerations
  • Technology and digital solutions that improve access
  • Community-based partnerships that support language access
