A collaborative leader and advocate, Julia partnered with Vermont Folklife and community organizations to co-create The Most Costly Journey, an anthology of migrant stories selected as the 2022 Vermont Reads book. The project reflects her commitment to dignity-centered care, accompaniment, and systemic change.
