Lender, a life-long Lake George resident, served nearly 18 years as executive director of the Lake George Association, focusing on conservation and watershed preservation. He holds a master’s degree in administration from Saint Michael’s College and a bachelor’s from Hartwick College, with more than 34 years in the nonprofit sector. He previously held leadership roles at Fort Ticonderoga and PRIDE of Ticonderoga.
Lender has served on multiple boards and committees, including the Ticonderoga Planning & Zoning Board, Lakes to Locks Passage, the Sylvamo (formerly International Paper) Citizen’s Advisory Committee, Lake George Land Conservancy and Silver Bay YMCA.
He is active in regional planning, economic development and historic preservation efforts. Lender lives in Ticonderoga, on Lake George’s northern end, along with his wife and six children.
