Edwards is secretary/treasurer of Alexander Edwards and Company, CPAs, P.C. He holds two bachelor’s degrees and an associate degree. Edwards was a member of the Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital corporation board and eventually its board of directors where he served as chair of the audit, finance and pension committees, hospital treasurer and member of the executive committee. He has also served on University of Vermont Health audit (vice chair), investment, defined contribution investment (president pro tem) and compensation committees. He previously served twelve years on the board of trustees of the Plattsburgh Public Library. Edwards was a 33-year member of the National Ski Patrol, holding local and regional leadership roles. He was honored by that organization with a National Appointment #10678 and Meritorious Service award #298.
