Hi. Originally hailing from Atlanta, GA I studied Biology and Spanish at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland for undergraduate. After college I took post-bac classes in Atlanta and then moved to NYC and worked in an architecture office. I liked how both architecture and medicine dwell at the intersection of art and science. I ultimately chose medicine over architecture, and after the application process took off on a 6-month around the world trip to South America, Africa, India, Australia and New Zealand. We were able to volunteer in a clinic in Peru and in a slum in Kenya.
When interviewing at UVM for medical school, I just got a great vibe. The people and the lifestyle are hard to beat! I loved my 4 years here, but was not sure if I wanted to pursue family medicine or psychiatry so decided to take some time off after medical school. During that time I married my husband Nate, a native Vermonter, and we had our daughter Georgia. I'm thrilled to be a part of the UVM psychiatry residency program with such a supportive, passionate faculty and staff and an amazing community.
