I grew up in central Ohio just outside of Columbus, completing my undergrad studies in physics and then joining the MD/PhD program at Ohio State. I have always been curious about how things work, and through biomedical research initially found a passion for helping others in both the lab and clinic. When I first visited Vermont for an interview I was immediately taken by the beauty of this place, of both the environment and the people who live here. The kindness and close-knit family of residents here stood out among other programs, and I am proud to call them my colleagues now as we all make our way through our training. Along with beginning to make research connections here I have found great joy in exploring the Northeast by bicycle, kayak, and by foot; finding myself in new reaches of the mountains when not working in the hospital. This is truly a special place to work, play, and live.
