The University of Vermont Family Medicine Residency Program at the UVM Medical Center accepts applications for residency ONLY via the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
The UVM Family Medicine Residency Program participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).
ALL INTERVIEWS ARE BEING CONDUCTED VIRTUALLY AT THIS TIME.
Invitations to interview will be sent out via Thalamus/email on or after October 2nd, 2026. Our first interview date is October 19, 2026.
The Family Medicine Residency Leadership prides itself in a holistic review of applications. Many factors are considered, and it is rare that one single component would remove your application from consideration.
Our Application Requirements are as follows:
Receipt of a completed application by October 15. Applications received after this date may not be considered in the first round of interview invitations.
Graduation from medical school within the current year, or previous year
Step/ Level 1 - Passing Score
Step/ Level 2 - Passing Score must be received by Rank Order List Deadline
Only J1 Visas are sponsored / considered
Applications are ONLY accepted through ERAS

- Provision of vaccination records
