Wellness and Professional Development

Wellness and Professional Development

We strive to support professional development of our residents: to foster individual needs and interests of our trainees to allow them to reach their potential. The commitment of the program administration as well as the size of our program allows for the flexibility to cater to individual needs in a variety of career goals and interests. Working closely with faculty mentors, participating in specialized electives and research projects and quality initiatives are just some of the ways that this is achieved.

GME Internal Medicine Resident

A major strength of our program is our commitment for our residents to achieve a healthy work-life balance. We stress the importance of hard work and a rigorous medical education but also encourage our residents to explore personal development outside of medicine. Our ideal location allows residents to enjoy many outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, skiing, rock climbing as well as fine dining and the arts at the multiple local performance centers here in Burlington and in nearby Montreal.
