Meet Our Fellows

My name is Marga! I am a Fellow in the combined residency/fellowship in Adult Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Vermont. I received my B.A. in History from The College at Brown University and M.D. from The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. My interests in Psychiatry include trauma-informed care, neurodiversity, family-based approaches, and psychotherapy. I am passionate about supporting young people and collaborating with their families through integrative, evidence-based care that considers the whole person and their environment. I strive to promote resilience and long-term growth in the children and adolescents for whom I care. Outside of work, I like spending time with friends and family and enjoying the outdoors as much as possible" whether hiking, biking, or skiing!

I am a proud New Hampshire native and a major Boston sports fan, which I acknowledge and accept is not an attribute that anyone outside New England finds charming. Although I loved where I grew up, I always had a yearning to travel and learn about and from other cultures. I took the first opportunity I could get to move to the warm and beautiful island of Puerto Rico, where I could learn medicine and learn a new language simultaneously. Despite my now thin skin and intolerance to cold, I am now thrilled to be at the University of Vermont for fellowship, and Mayo Clinic before that for residency (which is somehow even colder). My academic interests are broad and include patient advocacy, health disparities, and research. Outside of work, I enjoy practicing yoga and Pilates, playing tennis, critiquing boxed mac n' cheese, and playing with my twin pup dogs, Sadie and Boomer.

My name is Teagan! I was raised in upstate New York, completed my undergraduate education at SUNY Geneseo, and went on to complete Medical School at the University at Buffalo. I have been slowly working my way back north, and am completing psychiatry residency at Albany Medical Center, before moving up to Burlington for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at UVM. My interest in mental health has roots in my time spent dancing ballet, but blossomed as I received my bachelor's degree in psychology. I enjoy being able to work with not just children but their families as a whole, and UVM's Family Based Approach is what drew me to this program. My clinical interests are varied, but right now include eating disorders and the overlap of chronic illness on adolescent mental health. In my personal time I love spending time with my family and 2 cats. In the summer you'll find me on the beach, preferably on the ocean, and in the winter skiing the gorgeous mountains of Vermont!

Hi everyone! I am Dylan. I was raised in Minnesota where I grew up snowboarding in the winter and swimming the lakes in the summer. Naturally, that led me to Burlington, VT for undergraduate to study neuroscience and continue enjoying the coldest weather in the United States. I attended the University of Colorado School of Medicine and subsequently returned to Burlington for my adult psychiatry residency training. Prior to entering medicine, I worked with adolescents in residential care and wilderness therapy. I entered medical school with the intention of becoming a child and adolescent psychiatrist. My clinical interests include group psychotherapy, eating disorders, identity and developmental trauma, forensic psychiatry, and medical ethics. I am particularly interested in working with gender diverse, queer, and neurodivergent youth. I value approaching care with an intersectional lens that recognizes children and families as existing within layered cultural, socioeconomic, and systemic contexts that shape their mental health journey and emotional development. In my free time, I enjoy swimming, hiking, dancing, mountain biking, long-boarding with my black lab, attending poetry events, and spending time with loved ones. These are the spaces where I reconnect to joy, embodiment, and the values I hope to bring into my work.
