Required longitudinal rotations
- 12-month long rotations
- Drug information
- Research (1 hour standing meeting once a month)
- Teaching Certificate program (UCONN) (1 hour standing meeting twice a month)
- 10-month long rotations
- Medication Use Evaluation
- Journal Club and Case Conference (0.75-hr meeting the third and fourth Tuesday of the month)
- Outpatient Pharmacy Practice (Retail & Meds to Beds) and Specialty Pharmacy Distribution and Oncall
- Thursday (5-9pm) and Friday (8am-9pm) every third week starting in August/September
- Weekends off, but will be on-call, see below.
- 4-6 month long rotations
- Specialty Pharmacy Medication Safety (6 months) (1-hr standing meeting once a month)
- Specialty Pharmacy Quality (6 months) (1-hr standing meeting once a month)
- Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation (6 months) (1-hr standing meeting once a month)
- Longitudinal Primary Care (4 months, immediately following primary care rotation)
- 1 full clinic day the first and third Wednesday of the month
Required deliverables
- Departmental competencies (completed during Orientation and Introduction to Pharmacy Practice)
- Major project: Residency research project with manuscript and platform presentation
- Minor project: Medication utilization evaluation
- Medication monograph or class review for the Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) Committee
- One-hour ACPE accredited Grand Rounds Presentation
- Teaching and Learning Certificate
- Article for local newsletter
- Three written drug information responses and one formal nursing in-service
- Three journal club presentations
- Three case conference presentations
- Minimum of twelve total staffing and on-call weeks
