Having grown up moving to various places along the East Coast, Vermont stands out as my favorite place I have ever lived. I moved here after finishing residency training in Philadelphia and have found that Vermont has endless things to do in all four seasons and an unparalleled work-life balance. Most importantly, I feel like I have "found my people" and home here. Among our close-knit community of faculty and residents, I can always find someone to go on a last-minute adventure with or lend a helping hand in a time of need. Our residency program and department cultivate a genuine sense of community that can only be truly appreciated by experiencing it firsthand!
A native of Massachusetts, I came to Vermont after completing EM residency and fellowship training in Boston. I was drawn to Vermont because of the people at UVM, its mission rooted in teaching and clinical excellence, and the incredible local community with easy access to plenty to do off shift. As a relatively recent transplant, I've found UVM to be a place where I feel exceptionally welcomed and supported, while also finding opportunities continue to grow, and I think that this combination of community, support, and opportunities is what makes our residency program really special.
As a native Vermonter, I always knew I wanted to return home after leaving the state for my undergraduate and medical training. The people, the community, and the opportunity to build a career in a place I love made coming back an easy decision.
I feel incredibly fortunate to work alongside colleagues who inspire me every day. Their commitment to learning, teaching, and caring for patients continually pushes me to grow as a physician and educator. I am especially grateful to be part of a program where faculty and residents genuinely support one another, celebrate successes, and help each other navigate challenges along the way.
Outside the hospital, I value spending time with my spouse and family. You'll most often find me outdoors—working in the garden, exploring Vermont's mountains and trails—or enjoying a crafting or cooking project and good company at home.

I grew up in small town in Vermont and have always loved the strong sense of community. I received my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Saint Michael's College in 2002. I've worked at The University of Vermont Medical Center since 2011 and was very excited for the opportunity to become the Program Administrator for the Emergency Medicine Residency Program. I'm very passionate about helping others achieve their goals and working with the amazing group of EM residents has been very fulfilling. I've lived in Vermont for over 30 years and it's been a wonderful place for my husband and I to raise our children.
