Your Wellness

The work you do every day helps us achieve our mission to improve the health of the people in the communities we serve. The University of Vermont Health Network (UVMHN) extends this mission and our culture of caring to our employees through various wellness initiatives that are dedicated to supporting your overall health, well-being and happiness, which includes your emotional well-being.

Employee Wellness Partnerships

We offer collaborations with other organizations and community partners in order to increase your access to wellness resources. Some of these partnerships include:

  • Employee & Family Assistance Program (EFAP): Our Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) provides free and confidential telehealth support for employees and adult household family members. Specifically, EFAP offers confidential assessments, short-term counseling, referrals and follow-up services for employees and their household adult family members. EFAP helps you, as an employee, be your best self at work and to keep work-life in better balance through a whole health approach in all that we offer.
  • UVM Osher Center for Integrative HealthThe mission of the Osher Center for Integrative Health at UVM is to advance integrative health care by facilitating collaborations to educate future generations of health care practitioners, develop sustainable clinical models of integrative health, and generate and evaluate innovative ideas for improving health, with a focus on rural settings.
  • Working Bridges: An initiative of the United Way of Northwest Vermont, Working Bridges provides a Resource Coordinator who works with employees seeking connection to community resources to address life issues that may affect work. This assistance helps employees to navigate challenges such as housing, transportation, childcare, budgeting, debt management, legal issues, income supports and more
