My favorite part of the UVM surgery program is the supportive and collaborative atmosphere between co-residents and attendings. We benefit from broad clinical experiences in which we can learn and grow our surgical skills and knowledge. Additionally, training in Burlington offers the perks of a small city with easy access to the outdoors.
I chose UVM for a smaller class size. I think this allows us to work closer with faculty and grow our surgical skills and clinical acumen because our mentorship with our attendings. We also have a close-knit residency, and we take care of each other.
