UVM Medical Center Residency Program
Dermatology

The greatest strength of our dermatology residency program is a broad and deep exposure to clinical dermatology, surgical dermatology and dermatopathology.

Residents are encouraged to develop their responsibilities as teachers. They are responsible for teaching junior residents and medical students. Residents are encouraged to attend and expected to present at local and national meetings, as well as publish during their residency tenure.

The faculty is comprised of fourteen full-time dermatology faculty, including one pediatric dermatologist, four mohs surgeons and three dermatopathologists.

At present, we accept two residents per year. In part because the dermatology residency program is small, resident exposure to all aspects of dermatology is particularly broad. Our goal is to prepare individuals both for clinical academic careers and for general dermatology practice.
