Messages From Our Leadership
Stephen Leffler, MD
President and COO
Our nurses play a central role in the organization’s grit and resilience that has allowed us to continue our mission despite all that we’ve faced.
Peg Gagne, RN
Chief Nursing Officer
It is humbling to have the honor of leading this dedicated, skilled and dynamic team.
I remember many courteous and kind nurses. These generous souls always had my back. Many nurses brought me a warm blanket or helped order my food. One nurse sat at my bedside while I wept having learned that my medical saga meant that I had missed my daughter’s 11th birthday.

Delivering Outstanding Care During Another Challenging Year
Our third year into the pandemic, our nurses continue to deliver outstanding, high-quality care to our patients, and to each other.
Awards and Achievements
Our daughter was admitted to Baird 5 and her nurse, Tyler, was amazing. His compassion and care was not exclusive to our baby and he took the time to care for our concerns and needs as well as hers. It was her first hospital stay since she was born and she was terrified and struggled to understand what was happening and Tyler patiently explained everything taking his time to reassure her every step of the way.
