Letter from Peg Gagne, MSN, RN

Dear colleagues,

I am excited and filled with pride to bring you our 2021 Nursing Annual Report. Our team has continued to rise to meet the needs of our community and patients under the extraordinary pressures of our time. 

This year we celebrated Nurses Week with the theme of “Stronger Together,” and as you read about the great work highlighted in our annual report, you can see this is not just a theme for one week of the year, but the underpinning of our approach to nursing at UVM Medical Center. Our teams regularly step forward with tenacity and creativity to focus on continuing to delivering high-quality nursing care to those in need, even amid these most challenging times. It is humbling to have the honor of leading this dedicated, skilled and dynamic team.

Thank you all for your commitment to our profession and our patients. Together we can – and have – achieved greatness.
