Accountable Care

The University of Vermont Medical Center participates in Vermont’s statewide accountable care organization, OneCare Vermont. OneCare is working to transform the way health care is paid for and delivered by shifting from a model that rewards for more tests and services, to one that incentivizes value of care to the patient.

Health Care Partners

The UVM Medical Center works collaboratively with local hospitals, rural clinics, providers and other health care organizations to offer high-quality care close to home. Through this integrated system of care we work together to strengthen the services available to patients throughout Vermont and northern New York with coordination among providers and the streamlining of services.

Alliance with The University of Vermont

The UVM Medical Center, the Larner College of Medicine at UVM and the UVM College of Nursing and Health Sciences make up Vermont's academic medical center. Our doctors are teaching the next generation of physicians and are constantly seeking new cures and treatments through research.
