Alice Hyde Board of Trustees Welcomes Three New Members
Hannah Busman, MPH, Nathan Monette and Ramsey Herrington, MD, bring focus on rural health care and communities to volunteer board
Malone, NY – University of Vermont Health Network – Alice Hyde Medical Center recently appointed three new members to its Board of Trustees, adding Franklin County’s director of public health, a veteran emergency department (ED) physician and clinical leader, and a local businessman and philanthropist to the 11-member board.
As the board welcomes three new members, Robert Main Jr. will continue to serve as board chair, with Jason Ellis continuing as vice chair, Thomas Fitzpatrick as treasurer and Kevin Hart as secretary. Board members Brian Monette, Carol McKee and Paul Koehler retired from the board at the conclusion of the 2024 calendar year, after serving for 14, six and 12 years, respectively.

Their commitment to strengthening rural health care has been exceptional and improved lives throughout the North County,” said Main. “I thank our new Trustees for sharing their time and expertise to help advance Alice Hyde’s mission and ensure we continue to find innovative solutions to the challenges facing rural health care organizations, as well as support our staff and the health and wellness of every member of the communities we serve.”
Hannah Busman, MPH
Hannah is the director of public health for Franklin County Public Health Services. She came to the Malone area from Schenectady, New York, where she served in public health throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University and received her master’s degree in public health from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
Nathan Monette
A Malone native, Nathan has been a proud resident of the North Country for his entire life. He attended SUNY Plattsburgh before making his way back to his hometown in 2017, to start working in the Monette family business, Adirondack Energy Products. Since then, Nathan’s role has expanded to managing the propane division alongside his father, Chris.
Nathan is also very proud, active and passionate with the family charity organization, Adirondack for Kids, with a mission of improving the lives of children in the communities where we live, work and play.
Nathan has also served on the Franklin County Industrial Development Authority Board since 2022. He resides in Malone with his wife, Kendra, and their three sons. He enjoys coaching his three boys at whatever sport they are participating in.
Ramsey Herrington, MD, FACEP
Ramsey Herrington, MD, FACEP, joined University of Vermont Health Network in 2006 as an ED physician, after completing his residency in emergency medicine at Oregon Health & Sciences University in Portland, Oregon. He currently serves as UVM Health Network chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine, expanding the department’s clinical mission and building an academic program of teaching and research. Dr. Herrington plays a critical role in physician recruitment across UVM Health Network and also oversaw the development of a shared ED staffing model that brings physicians from across the health system to practice at hospitals in both northern New York and Vermont.
