Genetics, Breast Cancer and You (Virtual)


Join Manal El Daouk, MD, and Wendy McKinnon, MS, CGC, Certified Genetic Counselor, for an informative webinar about genetic testing for breast cancer. Attendees will learn more about breast cancer risk assessment, the criteria for genetic testing and a summarized evaluation of many medical and surgical risk-reducing agents. Attendees are encouraged to bring questions that may be addressed in the Question & Answer portion of the webinar. Dr. El Daouk is an ongoing active member of CVPH’s Commission on Cancer (CoC) committee, which is dedicated to improving survival and quality of life for cancer patients. Wendy McKinnon is certified genetic counselor who has specialized in cancer genetic counseling for over 20 years in the Familial Cancer Program of the UVM Medical Center. The Familial Cancer Program is a robust cancer risk assessment program that offers genetic counseling and testing to individuals and families concerned about inherited cancer risk.
