Biographical Information
Being in the Emergency Department can be a scary and confusing time for patients and their families. Guiding parents through this challenging time and achieving the best possible outcome for their child is the most rewarding part of my work.
As a pediatrician, the most important thing I want my patients and families to know is that their well-being is essential to me. Everyone is a VIP, regardless of who they know or their beliefs. When taking care of a patient, I think a lot about them, using all my years of medical experience and training and my empathy as a mother to help them.
I studied phycology and public health before pursuing my medical degree at the University of Alabama. I began to focus on pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine during my residency and fellowship. My areas of expertise include quality improvement, patient safety and breastfeeding.
