Job Description

The Vice President of Practice Operations is a senior level executive position at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital (CVPH) and Alice Hyde Medical Center (AH), both hospitals within the University of Vermont Health Network Medical Group (UVMHN MG). This position focuses on providing high-value services and operational oversight of the CVPH/AH physician practices.  This includes oversight of ambulatory practices as well as oversight of physician led hospital based services such as emergency medicine, hospitalists and anesthesiology.

The position is responsible for standardizing operational processes and policies across the CVPH/AH practices in support of the mission and vision of CVPH/AH and the UVMHN MG. The emphasis is on the achievement of the ideal patient encounter, including efficient and effective high value care throughout the CVPH/AH practices. This is accomplished through a matrix reporting relationship with the UVMHN MG Vice President for Community Practice Operations, the CVPH/AH President, and Adirondack Regional Physician Leader.  The CVPH/AH Vice President works closely with the CVPH/AH Senior Management Teams, physician leaders and UVMHN MG executives in meeting the strategic, operational and financial goals of the CVPH/AH Practices.

Strategic and operational goals include improving financial and operating performance in each practice, improving access, supporting clinical delivery optimization efforts, implementing clinical workflows and processes in support of the Epic implementation and supporting the transition to population health.
