Job Description


The Network Manager of Talent Acquisition, Nursing directs and oversees talent acquisition strategies associated with Inpatient and Ambulatory Nursing across the University of Vermont Health Network, and provides direction and management of staff and programs of major organizational scope across regions, business lines, and competing interests. This individual will extend the UVMHN employment brand through recruitment of the highest quality, mission-inspired workforce.

The Network Manager of Talent Acquisition, Nursing acts as a partner in defining the network vision for Nurse recruitment and executing against short and long term strategic goals.


Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Business Administration, Finance or related field required. Masters preferred but not required. Human Resources, Talent Acquisition certification desired.


Seven years’ experience in a Talent Acquisition required

-Proven leadership experience with measurable outcomes required

-Experience working in a remote and site based Talent Acquisition model highly preferred

-Highly proficient in Web 2.0 and utilization of sourcing tools including social media, cold calling, networking and blogging=Demonstrated ability to manage for a variety of roles, levels, and capabilities; ability to manage teams spanning geographic boundaries developing sense of shared accountability among staff and fostering a collaborative and cooperative climate required

-Experience employing a variety of recruiting approaches to achieve strategic talent objectives (e.g., online media, referral programs, events, collateral, social networking.) required

-Experience leading system-wide change and implementation initiatives strongly preferred

=Experience building and managing pipelines and proactive talent acquisition strategies required

-Working knowledge of talent acquisition processes and workflow; knowledge of affirmative action documentation and applicable data reporting.

-General knowledge of current employment laws and practices.

-Effective utilization of a variety of assessment skills including pre-employment assessments, resume review, behavioral interviewing and reference screening. Proven ability to appropriately assess and maintain discretion in confidential situations.
