Job Description

Full time positions are eligible for a 5,000 sign on bonus (prorated for part-time).

The Licensed Nurse Assistant is responsible for specific aspects of direct and indirect patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to): taking vital signs, responding to call lights, Electronic Medical Record documentation, personal care, including bathing, mouth care, toileting and skin care.

As an LNA in the Resource department, you will care for a mixed population of patients across the UVM Medical Center. LNA's will float between different units as the census and staffing needs arise. As a department we support 20 different units ranging from Medical-Surgical, Cardiology/Telemetry, and Critical Care to Maternal Child units.  Our leadership team provides training and support to ensure you have the tools and knowledge you need to thrive in this one-of-a-kind unit. There are always opportunities to broaden your LNA skill set in this department. A can-do attitude, flexibility, a love of change, independence, and excellent communication skills are needed to be successful in our department. We like to celebrate our team’s successes and actively support staff professional development. We would love to have you join our dynamic and fun team of licensed nurse assistants.

As an LNA at UVMMC you have the opportunity to develop your career through our LNA Advancement Program. You will also have the opportunity to participate in the LNA Council.
