Job Description

Full time positions are eligible for a 5,000 sign on bonus (prorated for part-time).

The Licensed Nurse Assistant is responsible for specific aspects of direct and indirect patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to): taking vital signs, responding to call lights, Electronic Medical Record documentation, personal care, including bathing, mouth care, toileting and skin care.

Our ideal candidates will be reliable, flexible, compassionate and empathetic. Must have a strong sense of teamwork and a focus on providing the best possible care to our patients.  Extraordinary time management is a must on our fast-paced inpatient units.  We have all specialties within our hospital and are currently looking for Licensed Nursing Assistants to join most of our inpatient teams.

As a LNA on this 32-bed progressive care unit, you'll have a diverse patient population with a range of care needs to build your LNA foundation or enhance your existing one. Our patient population consists of neurology, neurosurgery, gynecologic surgery, ENT, and other medical patients. Our 3-bed neuro step-down unit offers a unique opportunity to care for our more complex patients.

Being an LNA at UVMMC you have the opportunity to develop your career through our LNA Advancement Program. You will also have the opportunity to participate in the LNA Council.
