SCREENINGS PLUS AN EXPERT SPEAKER
On Tuesday, October 27th between 3:30 - 6:30 pm, we will provide two timeframe blocks of screening and information PLUS you'll have the opportunity to listen to an educational physician lecture between 4:30 - 5:00 pm.
WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND?
Fall is the perfect time to get ready for winter sports. The muscles that you have been using this autumn are different than those that you need for skiing, skating and playing basketball. Tight muscles, weak muscles, and generally being out of shape for your winter sport can contribute to increased risk of injury.
This clinic will provide an afternoon/evening full of opportunities for athletes to learn more about their unique physical needs and injury prevention. Athletes of all ages can ask questions and get answers to help provide for a safe and productive sports season:
- Physical Therapists and an Athletic Trainer providing flexibility and functional strength screens
- Information available on return-to-sport physical testing, as well as concussion information, should an athlete become injured during their season.
- UVM Medical Center Sports Medicine Physicians and residents available for your questions and performing ligamentous testing
- Cryocuff representatives onsite to show you icing products that might help you should you become injured.
