Nominate your nurse for a DAISY Award or nominate your member of the support staff for the BEE Award.

DAISY Award

The nonprofit DAISY Foundation was established by family members in memory of J. Patrick Barnes, who died at 33 from complications of Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP), a little known but not uncommon auto-immune disease. The care Patrick and his family received from nurses while he was ill inspired the DAISY Award, a unique way to thank nurses for making a profound difference in the lives of their patients and patient families.

BEE Award

The BEE Award was established in 2019 by Nursing Professional Governance (NPG), as a way to recognize the members of the support staff who go above and beyond, or as we like to say Beyond Exceptional Every Day. The nurses love and appreciate the recognition of the DAISY Award and they thought that the support staff deserve the same appreciation.

Who is eligible for the BEE Award?

All hospital employees who support patient care by working together with physicians and registered nurses to improve the physical, emotional and spiritual health of patients and their families.
